Nation Reports 119 new COVID-19 Cases, 4 Fatalities


Welcome to Tube Birksocial Ethiopia on Sunday confirmed 119 new cases of coronavirus, pushing the total bill in the country for 5689.

In its daily update, Ministry of Health revealed that 119 people tested positive for COVID-19 3,895 samples taken in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry also announced that more than 4 people had also been killed because of the virus, bringing the death toll to 98.

It was reported today the deaths, three occurred in treatment centers and the other a test on a dead body.

Infected persons are 73 men and 46 women aged between one and 80 years.

According to the Ministry, 116 of the case are identified Ethiopian nationality and 3 are foreigners.

The 99 cases identified in Addis, 7 Harari, 5 Tigray, 4 in Somalia, 3 and one in the Oromia Regional Amhara.

Meanwhile, more than 117 patients have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,132.

Currently there are 3,457 active cases with 33 people in serious condition, the ministry revealed.

A total of 246.911 samples were carried out in the country since the first reported case COVID-19 March 2020.
